Dill has feathery green leaves called dill weed and a distinctive flavour and fragrance that is quite different from its dried form, dill seed. Fresh dill is used in both raw and cooked dishes. Use finely chopped dill in potato salad and deviled eggs, or as seasoning for baked salmon and roasted carrots.
